Promotion

Steven Abbott (Uncle of Cliff Abbott) was called home to be with the Lord earlier this week.  Our prayers are with his wife, Jenny, and the extended Abbott family.

Get Well

Addition

Piper Grayden  (a 3 year old friend of Natalia's who has also had a liver transplant) had blood work today and it was all out of whack .  She has done an ultrasound and is awaiting results.  They will also be doing a biopsy on her liver to check for rejection. (Cahoons/Hervis)

Updates

Michael Lepczyk (Don's brother) has seen the oncologist. Besides the spot on his lung, there is another spot that the doctor thinks is in a lymph gland. Michael is now waiting for a referral for a PET scan. After that, he'll be getting a biopsy. Michael is thankful for your prayers.  He is an unbeliever and this could be another open door for him to hear the gospel again. 

Rob Taylor Rob had his brain surgery yesterday.  Things appear to have gone well, but there are always issues to be dealt with in recovery.  Thank you.  (Ryan Abbott's friend)

Linda Shimkus After over a month in the hospital cardiac intensive care unit, Linda has finally been moved to a cardiac rehabilitation facility. She had a very difficult recovery requiring her to be on a respirator and heavy sedation for an extended period of time. She will require a long rehabilitation but is improving every day.  I want to thank all the Upland prayer warriors going to battle for her and ask for your continued prayers for her continued recovery. Kaye Kirschner continues her battle with stage 4 breast cancer as her tumor markers are going up again. She is back on both chemo and radiation treatment. Her pain medication is not providing much relief. Please continue to pray for her. (Ken S.)

Ken Sessions My PSA numbers have dropped for the past two six-month periods. I will continue receiving hormone shots and monitoring by my cancer doctor. Thank you for all your prayers.

Sue Olsen is doing much better and is even back to her 2-mile walks.  Many thanks.

Additions

Operation Bible Drop (OBD in Africa) missionaries:

Joseph Eluku is in Malawi, Africa (SE side of continent).  He was recently hit on his motorbike (only transportation).  He was not injured but the bike was totaled.    He also has a self-sufficient coffee farm as a source of revenue for his ministry.   A recent storm went through and destroyed 60% of his crops. Joseph is using the LPB in his evangelism ministry.   

Iggy Ignatious  is in Nigeria and facing much opposition.   He also carries the LPB all over Nigeria.

Afumbe Gideon is in Sangmelania, Cameroon.  He is facing much civil unrest and danger.     He goes door to door in the villages to give the gospel, using the LPB.  Continue to pray for their protection and needs as they spend lots of time in evangelism in their nation.    They are all equipped with the LPB .
