Pastor Olsen attended Washington State University from 1968 to 1972 where he was the captain of the Cougar Track and Field Team his senior year. He graduated from WSU in June of 1972, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education. He then entered Graduate School at Dallas Theological Seminary. At DTS, Pastor Olsen majored in Hebrew and minored in Greek. In May of 1976, he graduated with a Masters of Theology and was ordained at Berachah Church in Houston, Texas by Col. R.B. Thieme, Jr. Pastor Olsen began his ministry at Upland Bible Church in June of 1977.
The emphasis of Pastor Olsen's ministry is on sound Doctrinal teaching. He studies from the original languages of the Bible - Hebrew, Aramaic and Koine Greek. Through careful and accurate exegesis of the Scriptures, he explains the Word of God to believers so that they can grow up in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Pastor Olsen has been teaching the Word of God for many years, providing spiritual food for his congregation.
